I am a Sweetheart to One and a Mommy to Four Loveable Babes, one of which is smiling down on us from Heaven. I am learning to dance in the rain. Come with me on my journey as I make the most out of Life's mud puddles.

Put on your rain boots. Great adventure lies ahead.

Kozy Kids Korner by Emma

I miss my little Bennett so much.

Last week was the six month anniversary of his death. My parents were out of town so I stayed at my grandma's house. When I was there, I made a family tree that had Bennett on it that showed he will always be a part of our family. It included everyone in our family. We are going to frame it to remind us that families are forever.

Here is a poem I wrote called "My Family Tree."

My Family Tree
By Emma

Family Trees are special
The people I love too.
I love drawing pictures of my Family
Just a way to say "I love you."
My Grandma and my Grandpa
My Aunts and Uncles too.
My Mommy and My Daddy
My Brothers and Sister too.
A family is important
And that is very true.

My Dream by Emma

Last night, I had a dream. A plane crashed and I came out of the plane and saw Bennett my little brother. He was dressed in white but when I saw his face, I knew it was him. I ran over to him and I hugged him and started crying. I stayed with him for awhile and kept holding him close. After awhile, Bennett went into a stream that was like a gateway and disappeared. He did not drown. He just went away to another place.

After my dream, I felt like Heaven really is real. I miss him more than ever and really want to go back with him.

I love you, Bennett Boy.

Kozy Kids Korner by Gracelyn

This week's Kozy Kids Korner is from our little Gracelyn. We love her so much and are so grateful that she is willing to share some of her precious feelings and memories of her little brother. (Please be generous with your comments. She is anxious to read the responses. Thanks.)

I love Bennett so much. I wish he didn't have to leave so early. He only lived for 1 1/2 years. He was my best friend. I will never have a better brother than him. He is always
around me when I feel sad or when I am scared. He will never leave my heart.

When Ashton took his cars, Bennett would always squeal. I would say, "Ashton, no! Give that back to Bennett!" He was my pal. He always wanted to sit on a big chair like the big kids. We would use our shower as our Kids Clubhouse and we would all get in together (the brothers and sisters) and hold hands as we walked in a circle singing "Kids Club Members". It was our song. He was part of our club.

When he would cry at night and I would hear him, I would go in his room and sing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" or "One Two Three Four Five I Caught a Fish Alive."

In this picture, you will see that Bennett is trying to take off his helmet. I was going to ride my bike but then my dad said "Hey, come get in the trailer with Bennett" and so I did what my dad told me to do cause I make good choices. I want to be like my Dad and Mom when I grow up.

When we were at Disneyland, he went to our grandma's house. We got Bennett a Car shirt. Next time we go for a trip, I will for sure get Bennett a present. I will never leave him. And he will never leave me alone.

He liked animal crackers and he loved yogurt. Sometimes I would share my frozen yogurt with him. He is the best brother I will ever have in my life. He would
jump on the tramp while I holded him. He liked ice cream, going to grandma's house and Aunt Katie who was his girlfriend. Every year passing by I will never stop loving my sweet Bennett Boy.

Bennett's birthday is May 31st. His birthday is only three days apart from mine. At Costco I saw an Elmo book that I want to give him for his 2nd birthday. If he were here right now, I would read the book to him right away.

I will never stop loving him.

Kozy Kids Korner

Occasionally, I want to share some of the thoughts of my children. I will edit (as needed) to protect their most tender feelings but I think this Road of Healing is a Family Business. And it is good to know how the Littles feel about the whole process.

Please be generous in your comments. I want this to be an anticipated experience for my little ones. Thank you.

So, here goes . . . Welcome to Kozy Kids Korner.

Hi. My name is Emma. I am the oldest sister to Bennett, my brother who died. It is sad but I know that when you are sorrowful, you will be happy because your lost one will always be with you and your home will always be like heaven.

I remember when Bennett would always come to the window when I would come home from school. And right when I came to the door, he would hug me. I love him so much.

Here is a poem I wrote for him:

Bennett's so sweet
Bennett's so pure
I love my little Bennett
He is my dear.

I can't wait to see his smiling face again.

I love you, Benny Boy.
